Preparing for College Sep 1 2009

[comic by Abstruse Goose]

It's September already and while most friends from high school already started school, I am just starting to buy things for college! Last Friday I went to Micro Center to purchase the Gateway NV5807u that has been chosen as the lucky laptop that gets to spend the next few years with me, after the hours-long online research I've done in the previous night. I was going to get my laptop online at Dell but I changed my mind, as Dell's customer service is not the most promising - although I have never dealt with them before, but my sister had, and her experience with Dell's laptop department wasn't that good.

So far the laptop is worth every dollar of it and since I am planning to get a desktop soon so I wasn't really looking for a desktop-replacement laptop, just need something lightweight and can get things done while on the go. Netbooks fit in that category but I am not a big fan of them.

On Saturday I went to Prime Outlets - wasn't my intention at all to go there but I went anyway - and bought a few articles of clothing, on Sunday I went to Target with Christina and bought some accessories for my dorm room, and on Monday I went to Kohl's to get a bed set that was on sale for only $27.

I still haven't bought my books yet but (hopefully) I will get to that soon.

I was going to get a Dell laptop...I think I am going to take my chances with them anyway. I really like a laptop they have. :)
Good luck with college :) A good laptop is definitely a must during these times...
That cartoon is hilarious...especially with the image on the computer. LOL. I've had bad experience with Dell Customer Service, but I did end up getting a free laptop out of the deal! http://careygly.xanga.com/618274287/homeless-russians-devil-worshiping-gay-latinos-butt-sniffing-dogs-mooncakes--chinese-cyberterror/ What an exciting time for you. I remember vividly what it was like a few weeks before college. Your life is about to change so much. It's going to be great!! Have fun...and no beer bongs! ;-)
you are so silly.
