0 comments First Day of School - 08.29.07

  1. My mom woke me up at 7:30am
  2. Showered, breakfasted, and dressed
  3. 8:20, arrived at school ground, for the second time in nearly 3 months.
  4. Looked for my first period class desperately, only found out later that it is the same room I had for English and History last year.
  5. Introduced myself to the class though all of them know me pretty well and I know each and everyone of them. Too bad I didn't get to mention to all the fellow ladies that I am single. Not that I care though.
  6. Proceed to my German class. "Guten Tag!"
  7. Precal's next, where Yuen was like, "Haochiiiiii!" Hmmmm, whatever. Unexpectedly, I was asked by the teacher to inform the class what the heck that "black object" is (a stapler) and my brain just blanked out. Then Scott was like, "It's a stapler." Definitely not the kind of impression I wanted to give on the first day.
  8. The lunch period went pretty well except that I encounter those two jerks. (hint: they are brothers, and the rest leaves to you to find out)
  9. The following would be English class, which is, not all that bad - except the part that I have to turn in my summer assignment. (I did half of them)
  10. Physics and Chemistry, the last two periods of the day went pretty smooth.

One of the things that I didn't expect was that I have to WALK HOME after school! The 10 minutes walk was like the longest ever, due to the intense heat caused by global warming.

baby tear

Experiencing a feeling that cannot be described by any words or phrases ever devised by the mankind.

Simple yet complicated. Joy yet sorrow.

From their About page,

Asterpix enables users to easily create hypervideos and share them through websites, blogs and email. Analogous to hypertext, hypervideo provides an interactive experience by allowing viewers to select objects of interest to get more information or navigate the video.

This is one of the most interesting startup I have seen for a really long while. They might need a new name though.

pinky promise

As a firm believer of "Don't make promises you can't keep", I don't abuse the use of "I promise ..." and have negative feelings toward people that abuse the use of the word.

Whenever I say "promise", you have my word. (so far, none)

0 comments Cedar Point - 08.10.07

cedar point 2007

So after weeks of planning, I finally got to go to Cedar Point. You won't believe how disappointing I was/am. When we got there, it was literally raining dogs and cats, and most of the rides were already close due to the weather condition.

Okay, some are still open. Like those kiddie ones.

Since there aren't a lot of options, we lineup at the maXair, behind approximately 300 equally-eager park goers. Blah blah, about twenty minutes later, when we got to the front of the line, the guy that works there told us that the ride will be closed for 45 minutes.

Yeah, like I am going to waste another 45 minutes of my life there?

So we only ended up riding the Witches' Wheel (which they spelled wrong on their site). Despite of having a "Thrill Level" of 4 (out of 5) on their site, it was nothing. Nada. I nearly felt asleep up there.

I didn't even got the chance to ride the Ferris Wheel. :(

Not blaming Cedar Point, I was just there at the wrong time. I am planning to go there again, probably before Halloween. xD

the bourne ultimatum

So I went to watch "The Bourne Ultimatum" yesterday and yes, it rocks! After the movie, my sister and I went to the Apple store (which is nearby the theater) to pick up her MagSafe adapter that was "accidentally" sent there. (screw DHL)

iphone haochi

While there, of course, I wouldn't miss the opportunity to mess with the iPhone! Don't be jealous, Christian. :)

As noted in the last post, the summer vacation is almost over and I should get back on the school stuffs, so I told my store manager (Panda Express) today that I will be stop working there. Hehe, next week will be the last!

0 comments Past, Present and Future - 08.04.07

Well, summer vacation is almost over and I think I should put up a to-do list for the rest of the summer and the upcoming school year.

Before the end of the summer:

  • Do one part of the math assignment per day
  • Read one chunk of Native Son every one or two day
  • Watch a movie for history class whenever possible
  • Go to Cedar Point

Over the course of next school year:

  • Learn C++/Java/Python/Perl
  • Write a book (if possible)
  • Get driver's license
  • Start an online comic

I have a couple more important things in my mind but I cannot remember what they are...

Oh well, I will update this post whenever I remember... :)
